Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White is to open a restaurant in Birmingham, with the launch of a Steakhouse Bar and Grill at the city’s Cube development.
The new restaurant, which will be White’s fourth Steakhouse outside of London after Chester, Bristol and Liverpool, will take over a 14,000 sq ft on the top floor of the 25-storey the building in the centre of Birmingham.
It forms part of a £10million investment by Sanguine Hospitality, which will also develop a four-star boutique hotel on the two floors below the restaurant as well as a luxury health club and spa on the ground floor public levels of the building.
White said there was a “clear appetite for affordable glamour and quality food” in the West Midlands. “The restaurant will be somewhere for friends and family to gather in relaxed surroundings and enjoy simple food, cooked perfectly,” he said.
Neil Edginton, director of the Cube, added: “It will be a top notch dining experience but also open to everybody – you won’t have to have won the lottery to dine there. We always wanted to make the top of the building open to everyone and we didn’t want to price people out of the restaurant.”
