The Capital Pub Company has bought the freehold of the Mansion pub in Dulwich in south-east London for £1.55m.

The deal takes Capital’s estate to 33 pubs.

Capital bought the property from LNL Estates, which in turn purchased it from Punch Taverns in 2009. Property agents Davis Coffer Lyons brokered the sale.

The 3,000sq ft pub on Gypsy Hill includes a substantial beer garden and has planning permission for four private residential flats on the upper floors of the property.

Paul Tallentyre, who acted on behalf of LNL Estates, said: “This is a great transaction; we had a number of parties all interested in the property resulting in achieving above asking price. The market is really buoyant at the moment, particularly in the South-east.”

Davis Coffer Lyons acted for Late Night Leisure. Capital Pub Co was represented by James Grimes.
