Dunkleys wins Eblex competition for England's Best Steak Pie

One of 16 entrants to win through to the final round, the Dunkleys pie won the Manufacturer category before battling it out with the winner of the second category (for the Best Independent Butcher or Caterer) to scoop the overall title.
Dunkleys, which has been making pies in Northamptonshire for around 80 years, has produced its winning pie for Wetherspoon for the past five years. The hand-finished puff pastry pie is filled with quality-assured beef and a rich ale gravy and Dunkleys makes around 15,000 units a week that are served in more than 800 Wetherspoon pubs.
