Artizian wins Gold Eat Out Eat Well award for Canon contract

Boutique contract caterer Artizian has won a Gold Eat Out Eat Well award from Surrey County Council for its healthy food offer at its operation at Canon in Reigate.

Artizian, which won the £1.4m annual turnover contract from Sodexo in 2008, runs a staff restaurant, coffee bar, trolley service and hospitality at the electronics firm’s Surrey headquarters.

The Eat Out Eat Well Award was developed to reward caterers throughout the county that make it easier for their customers to make healthy choices when eating out.

Managing director and owner Alison Frith commented: “We recognise the crucial role we play in helping our customers understand diet, nutrition and labelling and how integral our influence is in the workplace.

“We are delighted to have been awarded a Gold Eat Out Eat Well Award as this is what we’re so passionate about. We are working on so many exciting projects around health and nutrition and can’t wait to share them with our customers”

The award, which has three levels, is based on a scoring system that takes into account the type of food on offer, cooking methods, and how the meals are promoted to customers.
