London's Mostyn hotel rebranded as a Doubletree by Hilton

The 121-bedroom Mostyn hotel in London has been rebranded as the Doubletree by Hilton London - Marble Arch.

Formerly known as the Best Western Premier Mostyn Hotel, the new-look property - home to the Michelin-starred Texture restaurant headed by Agnar Sverrisson and Xavier Rousset - was officially unveiled by Ufi Ibrahim, chief executive of the British Hospitality Association. The hotel is the seventh hotel to be branded under the upscale brand from Hilton Worldwide.

Originally a private residence for Lady Black, lady in waiting to King George II, the hotel retained its ornate ceilings designed by John Adams during an extensive refurbishment in 2011.

Rob Palleschi, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said, "DoubleTree by Hilton is delighted to welcome this historic and beautifully renovated property to our exciting portfolio of UK hotels. With the introduction of hotels such as DoubleTree by Hilton London - Marble Arch, the DoubleTree by Hilton brand is becoming synonymous within the UK and around the world with upscale hotel accommodation, and a personalised and welcoming level of service, style and hospitality."

Anup Sarin, general manager, said, "We are delighted to be involved with Hilton Worldwide and especially to be part of such a caring and innovative brand as DoubleTree by Hilton as it mirrors so well our own vales and ethics. I am sure we will create a superb and long-lasting partnership for the future. The team and I look forward to our journey together with our new family."

DoubleTree by Hilton now has 18 hotels throughout the UK in Aberdeen, Bristol, Cambridge, Chester, Dunblane, Leeds, Lincoln, London (seven), Newcastle, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Sheffield.
