Graeme Pallister of 63 Tay Street joins Slow Food UK Chef Alliance

The Slow Food UK Chef Alliance scheme, launched in 2012 in partnership with Highland Park, hopes to engage Britain’s chefs in reinforcing the aims of Slow Food UK, by championing small-scale producers and sustainably-sourced quality produce. 

Pallister and his small team in Perth are passionate about using the best quality ingredients and support local suppliers wherever possible. 

“My passion for conveying the benefits of good quality food has always extended beyond my restaurant kitchen. Several years ago I was introduced to Slow Food, and that really helped me to focus my efforts. I strongly believe that all chefs have an obligation to educate, highlight and simply get people excited about wonderful produce available locally enabling food to become an exciting part of their daily lives”, said Pallister.

Irish-born chef Richard Corrigan is the Alliance’s spokesperson and ambassador, and other famous chef members include Giorgio Locatelli, Marcus Wareing, Raymond Blanc and Michel Roux Jr. 

A Masterchef of Great Britain Graeme believes in keeping food ‘local, honest and simple’ and in November 2012 launched a blog – to share his culinary experiences.
