Orient-Express launches associate programme for independent hotels
Orient-Express Hotels has launched an associate programme for independently owned and managed hotels.
The 154-bedroom Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, France, has become the first associate member of the company which owns and manages 45 luxury hotels, restaurant, train and river cruise businesses in 22 countries. It will have access to Orient-Express' sales, marketing and public relations support, as well as be able to tap into its reservations and distribution platforms.
David Williams, chief marketing officer of Orient-Express said: "Our boutique collection is uniquely positioned to work with like-minded hoteliers who wish to preserve their established individual brand reputation, but who share the vision of the Orient-Express umbrella brand, offering an equal standard of authentic experience, revenue return and service as our owned properties."
The Orient-Express Associate Hotels programme is by invitation only, with partner hotels requiring an established and iconic reputation, being a market leader in their respective destination, being a complementary fit with the existing Orient-Express portfolio, and meeting high independently assessed quality standards.
In the UK, Orient-Express is represented by Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons and three luxury trains: the Royal Scotsman, British Pullman and Northern Belle.
