CD Pub Co, the gastro-pub business run by the operators of the Stag at Offchurch and Moorings at Myton, has bought the freehold of the Lygon Arms in Feckenham near Redditch.
The 80-seater pub, previously owned by Enterprise Inns has been closed since the beginning of the year but is set to re-open in August as the Forest at Feckenham.
Charles Harris operations director of CD Pub Co said: “We’ve been looking for the right venue to complement our other two pubs for over a year now and the opportunity to introduce our hallmark Anglo French cuisine to Feckenham and Worcestershire, was just too good to miss.
“We are investing in a full scale stylish refurbishment of the pub, both inside and out, and the essence of the interior design will be to bring out its connections to the historical heritage of the former Royal Forest of Feckenham, but with a contemporary twist.
“Being a family business we’re lucky enough to tap into the professional interior designer skills of Christine Harris, who will be using a creative palette of woodland inspired hues, fabrics and furnishings to bring the pub’s new style and décor to life.
“The chance to introduce our successful formula to Feckenham and Worcestershire for great food, at great value in a great atmosphere is very exciting, and we are looking forward to becoming an integral part of village life in Feckenham”, he added.
