Six hotel suites in London have been included in the list of Top 101 Suites in the world compiled by luxury lifestyle magazine in the USA, Eilte Traveler.
The most expensive suite out of the six properties featured in the capital is the Royal Suite at the InterContinental London Park Lane, costing £10,000 per night.
Also on the list in London are the Penthouse Suite at the Wellesley (£6,600), SuiteME, the ME London (£6,000), Cinema Suite, 51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites and Residences (£5,255) Dorchester Suite, the Dorchester (£4,865) and the Ebony Suite, the May Fair (£2,000)
The overall number one suite is named as the Bentley Suite at the St Regis hotel in New York, a favourite of tennis player Serena Williams, who said: “The suites at The St. Regis New York are beyond compare in both design and luxury. The hotel is my undisputed first choice whenever I’m in New York – for style and service.” The Bentley Suite costs £6,900.
In second and third place are the Penthouse, Garza Blanca Preserve, Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (£1,200) and Peacock Suite, ITC Gardenia, Karnataka, India (£6,600), respectively.
The magazine’s travel editor Tova Syrowicz said: “We are always looking for suites and villas that have just been opened or have not been publicised yet.” Eighty percent are new suites in new hotels, new suites in existing hotels and seriously renovated suites. The remaining 20% come from a panel of luxury travel agents and celebrities and existing suites in top hotels that haven’t made the list in previous years. Also included are villas that are part of hotel complexes.
