West Cornwall Pasty Company wins PETA award

The West Cornwall Pasty Co has won the Best Vegan Pie/Pasty award in the PETA UK Vegan Food Awards 2013.
The Wheatmeal Vegetable Pasty was described by the awards taste tester judges as: "hearty, wholesome fare with a delightfully crisp pastry and a satisfying chunky filling".
Shelagh Smale, brand and marketing director of West Cornwall pasty Co, said: "We're very pleased to have won this award. We understand the growing demand for vegan products on the high street and are happy that we are able to react to this. It's our goal to provide the opportunity for everyone to enjoy an authentic handmade pasty around the country".
