Dishes for Angela Hartnett's Café Murano revealed

Angela Hartnett's Café Murano is set to open on 13 November, and details of the menu at the new restaurant venture have emerged.

The 75-cover Café Murano will be situated at 33 St James's Street, and will focus on the regions of northern Italy.

Head Chef Sam Williams has created signature dishes including culatella pasta fritti (£11); and fettuccine with wild boar (£9.50 small, £13.50 large); as well as mains including: roasted monkfish tail, brown shrimps, golden raisins (£19.50); and sausage stew, tomato and sage (£15).

The dessert menu will feature Vin Santo and Cantucci biscuits (£6); roasted fig zabaglione (£5.50), and traditional highlights such as Panna Cotta (£5.50) and Tiramisu (£6.50).

A dining bar seating 12 will allow diners to enjoy cicchetti such as: truffle arancini (£4.95); steamed clams, sherry vinegar & Parma ham (£7.50), as well as a range of charcuterie. Traditional antipasti will include warm octopus salad (£9.50), and sweet and sour sardines (£9.50).

The restaurant's interiors have been designed by Russell Sage Studios, which promises a "warm and inviting room", with a white marble bar occupying the entire left wall of the restaurant. There will be the original wooden flooring throughout and two rustic chandeliers lighting the restaurant. A series of chocolate brown leather banquettes sit opposite the dining bar, which is framed by an oak wall displaying the restaurant's wine collection. A private dining will accommodate 20 seated, or up to 30 standing.

The 100-bin wine list will be largely Italian, with a focus on innovative producers. Champagne and sparkling wines will be priced from £7.50 for a glass, and £40 for a bottle, whilst the range of Italian wines will be available from £4.75 for a glass, £13.50 for a carafe, and £19.50 for a bottle. There will also be a 'Cellar Selection of the Month' section of the list, highlighting lesser known wines, as well as rarer vintages and a dedicated selection of Prosecco & Franciacorta.

The cocktail menu will include drinks such as the Negroni No. 33 (Tanqueray, Campari, Cinzano Orancio, Cocchi di Torino); and the Mandorla Sour (Nardini Mandorla, lemon, whites, Tagliatella drops), as well as a number of grappa based cocktails.

The Front of House team will be led by general manager Zoe Charlton-Brown, formerly Operations Manager at Smart Hospitality, whilst head chef Sam Williams, who has worked alongside Hartnett at Murano for the past two years, will oversee the kitchen. Uniforms for the front of house team will be provided by Jermyn Street royal warrant shirt makers Turnbull & Asser.
