Royal Wedding helps Goring back into profit

The Goring hotel in London has moved back into profit, thanks to an increase in bookings.
The hotel, just off Grosvenor Gardens and close to Buckingham Palace, hit the headlines in 2011 after it played host to the Duchess of Cambridge the night before her wedding to Prince William.
It made a pre-tax profit of £1.12m in the year to March 2013, according to accounts filed at Companies House. In the previous year it made a £1.29m loss.
The increase in profits was thanks in large part to an increase in sales, which rose 6.5% to £11.8m, with the Royal Wedding spurring interest among overseas guests.
The hotel, which is run by Jeremy Goring, spent £3m ahead of the Royal Wedding, renewing furniture and equipment.
