Jamie Oliver ‘explores options' for Union Jacks restaurants
Jamie Oliver's Union Jacks restaurant chain could be rebranded or sold, amid concerns that it hasn't performed as well as was hoped.
A spokesman for Oliver's restaurant business confirmed that it was looking at different options for the four sites, three of which are in London, with one in Winchester in Hampshire.
Oliver launched Union Jacks, a British-influenced restaurant serving flatbread pizzas, in 2011 with US chef Chris Bianco. Its London sites are located in Chiswick, St Giles and Covent Garden.
A spokesman for Jamie Oliver's restaurant businesses said: "We are exploring various options with regard to Union Jacks. Meanwhile the Jamie Oliver restaurant business is focusing its resources on the successful Trattoria model which is doing well in its first location in Richmond."
