Five hotels receive new top rating from the Good Spa Guide
Only five hotel spas in the UK have been awarded the Five Bubble Luxury accolade - the new top rating from the Good Spa Guide.
Dormy House Hotel, Broadway, Worcestershire; Lucknam Park, near Bath, Wiltshire; Pennyhill Park, Bagshot, Surrey; Rockliffe Hall, Darlington, County Durham; and the Vineyard, near Newbury, Berkshire; have all been praised for their luxury spa facilities. The Good Spa Guide, which provides the UK's only national spa rating system, now operates a rating from One Bubble to Five Bubble Luxury.
Each hotel was assessed for its spa design, amenities, changing rooms, standard of facilities, customer service, standard of treatments, food and drink, communication and value, with top marks in each category required for the Five Bubble Luxury rating.
Daphne Metland, founder of the Good Spa Guide, said: "We wanted the customer to have knowledge of what really stands out in a growing spa market and introducing the Five Bubble Luxury award allows us to provide this information. The five spas chosen by our expert spa spies have all impressed to an incredibly high degree and deserve to have the acknowledgement of their hard work available for consumers to see."
The spa at the five-AA-star, 61-bedroom Rockliffe Hall (pictured) was described Metland as offering "elegance, luxury and grandeur, with a high standard of service" with the added bonus of spa butlers who serve guests a glass of Champagne at their poolside seat.
Liz Holmes, director of Rockliffe Hall's spa, said: "This really is the highest accolade a spa could wish for. Our team at Rockliffe works so hard to ensure the most impeccable yet relaxed service and to be recognised in this way makes us all so proud."
