The five-star, 38-bedroom Alexander House hotel in Sussex is to open 19 new suites from September this year after investment of £2.5m.
Located in a new building next to the original 17th century hotel, the Cedar Lodge suites will have their own concierge and reception.
Aiming to offer a luxury experience, they will each offer a sofa, dining area, private balcony or terrace, air conditioning, and a two-person bathtub.
There will also be a 100sq m duplex master suite, offering floor-to-ceiling windows, open-plan lounge and dining area, cloakroom, private terrace, rain shower, emperor-sized bed and oversized bathtub.
Located on the borders of Sussex and Surrey, the suites have views on to the surrounding countryside and have been personally styled by Alexander House’s owners Peter and Deborah Hinchcliffe, who also recently refurbished the main hotel.
Peter Hinchcliffe described the Cedar Lodge Suites as “the perfect complement to the current accommodation.”
Opened in 2004, the Alexander House hotel also has a spa called Utopia (opened in 2006), a Champagne bar, and a three AA-Rosette restaurant under executive chef Mark Budd.
