PPHE Hotel Group launches global talent management programme
The PPHE Hotel Group, owner and operator of Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, is launching a global talent management programme to retain and attract staff.
Aimed at ensuring the group, which operates 10 hotels in the UK, has "the right person, in the right job, at the right time", the initiative will bring in new staff, as well as identify talent already in the business. A series of development and training programmes will help drive forward the careers of staff with high potential.
Last year, PPHE promoted or transferred 150 employees into new roles.
Jaklien van Sterkenburg, vice-president, people development & HR, PPHE Hotel Group, said the programme strengthens the company's objective in recognising the importance of retaining and encouraging first-class team members.
"Performance plus potential equals talent," he explained, adding that PPHE's inclusion by the Sunday Times in its Best Companies Ones to Watch list, last year, underpins the group's people development and talent retention strategy.
The launch of the Talent Management programme is supported by a new dedicated career website, www.pphe.com/careers, including a mobile version.
As well as Park Plaza Hotels & Resort, PPHE also operates the Art'otel brand and has a minority interest in the Arenaturist group in Croatia. It currently operates a portfolio of 38 hotels in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Croatia and Israel.
