Premier Inn to be renamed as Premier Out in support of anti-homophobia campaign

Premier Inn is to be renamed for a day to Premier Out in support of Rainbow Laces, the campaign that aims to kick homophobia out of football.

The involvement in the campaign of the UK's largest hotel group will be launched on Monday 8 September in a newspaper advertisement and on its social media channels.

Russell Braterman, brand marketing director of Premier Inn, said: "Whether it's welcoming the guests who stay with us, or the staff we employ, Premier Inn is fully committed to equal opportunities. We'll never discriminate because of age, sex, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion or belief, disability, gender reassignment, sexual orientation or civil partnership.

"It's for that reason that we're delighted to lend our support to this fantastic initiative. As a brand we welcome thousands of football fans, teams and players through our doors every year, which is why we are proud to be supporting this campaign and making Premier Inn, Premier Out for rainbow laces."

Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be among the Arsenal team members who will kick off the campaign with a high-profile TV ad called The Changing Room, designed to raise awareness of the issues around homophobia in football.

Premier Inn currently has more than 670 hotels with over 55,000 bedrooms across the UK and Ireland.
