Brasserie Blanc rebranded to reflect more casual tone
Brasserie Blanc is to be rebranded to create a more casual, stripped-back environment.
Design agency Blacksheep has begun work on sites in the 20-strong group to encourage a more relaxed all-day dining experience.
Its vision is based around a concept of "chez nous", with sites designed to echo a French home kitchen. New spaces will be introduced, such as a pantry and a cheese and wine counter to encourage customers to drop in for a drink or snack.
Décor will include natural materials and a muted colour palette of heritage tones alongside a mixture of wooden furniture to give an aged, worn look. Each site will include a communal "kitchen table" to encourage more casual dining and drinking.
The new branding has been introduced to brasseries in Cheltenham and Winchester, with Oxford and Bristol scheduled for early 2015.
Nathalie Gibbs, Blacksheep's creative director, added: "Pace and authenticity composed the very quotidian narrative of 'chez nous' to celebrate provenance and community, offer a stage for the informal and paint a very memorable and insightful taste of France."
