European-style restaurant Yumn Brasserie set to open in South Croydon
A new restaurant named Yumn Brasserie is set to open in South Croydon on 20 November.
Head chef will be Arif Uddin, formerly of Hotel du Vin Cheltenham, whose menu will offer brasserie-style dishes such as grilled steaks, burgers and fish, cooked in a Josper charcoal grill. The drinks menu will include a selection of wine and beer.
The all-day site will be open from morning until night, and aims to attract customers for coffee and a late breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. There will be an a la carte option, with a prix fixe menu on weekdays, plus a brunch offer on weekends.
The site has been designed by Manchester company Décor Fusion, and will also have a 16-seat private dining room with free Wi-Fi, in a bid to make the space attractive for business meetings as well as other private events.
Professor David Foskett, head of the London School of Hospitality and Tourism, Academy of Culinary Arts member and fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, is expected to visit the restaurant on the opening night.
