CH&Co wins £10m Mansion House contract
Foodservice group CH&Co has won a banqueting contract with Mansion House in the City of London, extending its five-year relationship with the Lord Mayor of London's official residence.
In a deal valued at £2m per year, CH&Co has been appointed the sole preferred supplier for the next three years from 1 February, with the option of a two-year extension. The company will also provide private catering for the Lord Mayor of the City of London and family.
As the Lord Mayor's private residence, the Mansion House hosts high-profile hospitality events for the City of London Corporation, the Lord Mayor, the Government, Livery Companies and charities. It attracts over 40,000 visitors a year.
The first major event in the new contract is set to be the Mayoral Banquet on 10 February. Other regularly-hosted events include the Chancellor of the Exchequer's annual speech on the state of the British Economy, plus around 10 banquets per year held personally by the Lord Mayor.
Alison Tyler, chief executive of CH&Co Commercial, said: "It is testament to our excellent team that The Aldermen have chosen us to continue to deliver an outstanding service to everyone who crosses the building's threshold…They have chosen CH&Co based on its first class reputation and ability to hit the highest of standards time and again."
Completed in 1758, the Mansion House was designed by then-Clerk of the City's Work, George Dance the Elder. Lord Mayor Sir Crispin Gascoigne was the first to live in the house.
CH&Co is the umbrella group for a number of foodservice businesses and sectors, including Charlton House, Lusso, Chester Boyd, Ampersand, and coffee shop group Apostrophe. It also holds a Royal Warrant of Appointment to the Queen in recognition of its services.
