Belgrade Theatre Trust (Coventry) Ltd seeks to appoint a Catering partner for its Coventry City Centre venue to operate its bars, café and restaurant facilities.

The Belgrade Theatre is situated in Coventry city centre and offers a mixed programme in its two auditoria of large scale and small scale touring productions as well as productions created in-house. Alongside this programme it also presents stand-up comedy, live music, a wide range of youth and community events and events and conferencing.

After completion of the £14 million refurbishment and expansion project, the Belgrade opened its doors in September 2007 with a new vibrant artistic policy that is designed to grow and serve many and different audiences in the city and the region. The Belgrade now consists of two auditoria, Main Stage and B2, and a full programme of community and education work. The Belgrade produces its own shows and invites a wide variety of shows in from visiting companies and the result is two exciting and eclectic seasons during the year (end August to early July). Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced contractors wishing to be included in a select list of tenderers for catering services at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry. The contract will commence on 18 July 2015 and will be for a period of 3 years with two possible further extensions of three years.
The criteria for contract award will comprise the tender submission, overall value for money, and demonstration of a professional quality catering service and a commitment to develop the service in a manner that will encourage use of the facilities.
In addition to operating the Theatre's bars, café and restaurant, it is anticipated that the appointed partner will also service the majority of events & conferencing contracts, which can range from small meetings for 8 people, to national conferences for 850. The current turnover for the catering provision at Belgrade Theatre is £460k gross of VAT pa.
