New Moon Pub Co secure Liverpool site

The New Moon Pub Co has secured its first Liverpool site in the Old Blind School building on Hardman Street.

The Old Blind School, which will open later this year, will be modelled on the group's Old Sessions House in Knustford.

Chef-patron David Mooney and co-owner Paul Newman will restore the Grade II-listed building to convert it into a 200 cover restaurant across two floors.

The new venture will take the pair's empire to seven sites.

Newman said: "We have been looking for the right site in Liverpool now for a while and it has always been our intention to be in this fabulous cty. We are delighted to have found the perfect site to showcase our thing in Liverpool."

Mooney added: "We are buzzing and can't wait to start work on the building. We have already given much thought to our menus, we just can't wait to get the dishes on the tables."
