Charlton House wins new business worth £1.8m

B&I caterer Charlton House has won new business with global healthcare business Sanofi and IT provider SSCL, with a combined value of £1.8m of three years.

Charlton House, part of CH&Co, will deliver staff and visitor catering as well as hospitality, at two Sanofi sites, in Haverhill, Suffolk, and Holmes Chapel in Cheshire.

As part of the agreement, the caterer is investing in an upgraded restaurant and refreshed site at the Haverhill facility, which is due to open in next month. The Holmes Chapel site recently reopened with a new look deli bar, salad bar and hot food service area. Its ‘Left Bank' restaurant which caters for all staff and visitors also went through a rebranding exercise, although kept its name.

Meanwhile SSCL, which provides business support services that enable public sector organisations to operate more efficiently, has tasked Charlton House with offering its employees a wider range of healthy food options to enhance the work environment. The caterer will operate a restaurant and café bar facility for SSCL 400 employees at the Newport site.

Caroline Fry, Charlton House chief executive, said: "Both of these contracts are significant for our business and we are delighted to bring global giants in healthcare and business support services onto our portfolio, which is seeing us further expand the Charlton House business outside of London and into regional territories.

"It clearly demonstrates that our approach to health, nutrition and wellbeing has resonance amongst employers who are looking to provide the best for their staff."
