BaxterStorey wins University of Stirling catering deal

BaxterStorey has won a new three-year contract at the University of Stirling.

The caterer will deliver catering and hospitality services to around 15,000 students, staff and visitors to the University as part of the new deal, which began last month.

BaxterStorey, which has £30m turnover in Scotland, secured the new business following a competitive tender and was praised for its commitment to local sourcing and its approach to student engagement.

Liam Spillaine, director of commercial services at the University of Stirling, commented: "The University aims to ensure the very best catering service for our students and staff and great care and time has been taken to conclude the tendering process. BaxterStorey focuses on providing fresh food produced by a dedicated team of staff, which was one of the most attractive attributes of BaxterStorey's offering.

"The University was also impressed with the company's commitment to offering value for money and the development of food concepts to meet an ever-changing demand for new and interesting foods."

The University of Stirling was founded by Royal charter in 1967 on the Airthrey Estate in Scotland.
