Paul Adams to open Liverpool restaurant

Liverpool businessman Paul Adams is to open a 190-cover Vincent café and cocktail bar in the city's business district, at Exchange Flags office complex.

The move comes after it emerged that Adams, who owns the Vincent hotel in Southport, would be closing Warehouse restaurant, which he co-owns with footballer Steven Gerrard.

Many of the staff from Warehouse are expected to transfer across to the new 6,000 sq ft venue, which will employ around 40 staff and will feature modern British and international dishes.

Adams said: "We have had success with the food and beverage offering at the Vincent hotel and it has become a real destination restaurant with the Vincent café. We want to further build on that success by launching a standalone café and cocktail bar and we are looking forward to coming to Liverpool.

"The Vincent café and cocktail bar will be offering breakfast, lunch and after-work drinks, as well as afternoon teas, dinners and evenings out: a place for the first bite or the last cocktail and everything in between."
