Queenswood restaurant headed to Wandsworth

Queenswood, a new restaurant and bar by Sax Arshad and Antonio Cardoso, is set to open in Wandsworth next month.

The 70-cover restaurant will open in early March at 15 Battersea Square, London SW11.

Head chef Aude Placktor has devised a globally-influenced menu featuring a diverse range of meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Examples include starters of steamed clams, Guadeloupe-style with coconut, ginger, chilli, okra and spring onion; mains of mirin and wasabi coated cod with sprinkled pistachio, steamed veggie dim sum, soy beans and sake dressing or Goan-style lamb chops with curried rice, lime, fresh mint and coriander; and desserts including African cacao and almond milk soufflé or chai pannacota with macadamia milk and spiced roasted pistachio.

The restaurant will open Monday to Sunday, from breakfast through to dinner. It will offer cocktails, a bar and terrace dining.

Arshad and Cardoso are the behind Zanna Group, Soho's Damson & Co and Manchester's Mughli restaurants.
