Scottish hotel owner turns to social media after couple ‘escaped £800 bill'

A hotel owner in Scotland has turned to social media after claiming that a couple spent £800 and then left without paying.

Jason Henderson, owner of the 33-bedroom Knock Castle hotel and spa in Perthshire, posted a CCTV image of the pair on Facebook, after claiming that they stayed for three nights and ordered food, flowers and wine for Valentine's Day, but then left in a silver Audi without settling up, according to the Daily Mail.

Henderson, who also believes that the couple used fake ID when checking in and gave the hotel false credit card details, is offering a two-night stay to anyone who can help him find the couple.

Police Scotland have confirmed that the incident is being investigated, and stated that the suspected couple were in their late twenties. Anyone with information is invited to call Police Scotland on 101.

The castle-style hotel in Crieff offers views over the surrounding countryside, starting at £149 per night. It has two restaurants, including one with a rooftop area, and also sells pool and spa packages.
