Wilson Vale starts 2015 with new business worth £1m
Boutique caterer Wilson Vale has picked up £1m of new business since the start of 2015, the company has announced.
Last month the company began a one-year rolling contract with global media and communications agency Dentsu Aegis Network at its UK corporate headquarters at Regent's Place, London. An 11-strong Wilson Vale team is now catering for 1,400 staff on-site, with services including breakfast, lunch, all day grab 'n' go and extensive hospitality.
Wilson Vale also commenced catering operations at the Midlands headquarters of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), at the start of February. A team of three will provide a breakfast, lunch and hospitality service for 250 RICS employees at the Coventry site.
Andrew Wilson, co-founder and managing director of Wilson Vale, described the Dentsu Aegis win as "strategically important" for the caterer because it strengthens its presence in the London market.
He said: "The fact that Wilson Vale is an owner-managed business with a very transparent and ethical approach was a key factor in our appointment and we look forward to working in close partnership with our new client during this exciting period of growth for both organisations."
Meanwhile the RICS win is the company's first contract in Coventry and just 25 miles from Wilson Vale's corporate headquarters in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
Wilson added: "Our new client was keen to have a local catering partner with good operational support and a fresh food ethos. We are delighted that we continue to attract clients who have a strong focus on enhancing value and quality.
"We have consistently demonstrated that we have the ability to compete with the very best in our market, and after 13 years in business we have an extremely strong record for retaining and developing our clients and our people alike. We remain a relatively small organisation in a large market place but we are gaining a strong reputation and this is impacting positively on our business."
Wilson Vale's annual turnover for the year ending December was £20m, up 11% on the previous year. Projected annual turnover for 2015 is £22m, the company said.
