Jeremey Rata appointed operations director at Luxury Hotel Partners

Jeremy Rata, former managing director of Bovey Castle in Devon, has been appointed operations director at Luxury Hotel Partners (LHP), sister company of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH).

LHP manages hotels on behalf of owners, while SLH drives business to properties as a sales and marketing organisation. The two elements of the business are owned by Hill, Goodridge & Associates, which was bought last year by Daniel Shamoon.

"It is a very exciting role as we are looking to expanding by 10 to 15 hotels over the next five years by taking on more management contracts, as well as buying hotels," said Rata, who left Bovey Castle after six years following the hotel's acquisition last summer by the Eden Hotel Collection.

Rata will continue to own a 50% share in his photography business which specialises in hotel and restaurant commissions, but has stepped back from being actively involved. He will also be winding down his consultancy role to artist Damien Hirst on a forthcoming restaurant he is opening alongside a new gallery, later this year.
