Gordon Ramsay Group to open new restaurant in Macau, China

The Gordon Ramsay Group is to open a new restaurant in Macau, China, as part of the resort city Sands Cotai Central.

The restaurant, in partnership with Sands China, will open alongside other establishments within the resort such as the Golden Peacock, Zi Yat Heen, Dynasty, and Copa Steakhouse.

Commenting on the new site, chef Gordon Ramsay said: "We will be working closely with the Sands China team on the ground to tailor one of our current concepts to this unique market in order to deliver a first-class dining experience, and are looking forward to opening in Macau."

The Gordon Ramsay Group operates 25 restaurants all over the world, and has seven Michelin stars overall. Its UK sites include Maze, Plane Food by Gordon Ramsay at Heathrow Terminal 5, London's the Union Street Café and Bread Street Kitchen, plus the flagship three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, in London's Chelsea.

Overseas locations include Gordon Ramsay at Forte Village, Sardinia, and Bread Street Kitchen Hong Kong.

Charles Newland, senior vice-president of F&B, and director of piaza operations, added: "To see Ramsay's internationally-acclaimed restaurant empire expand to Sands Cotai Central is an important milestone for Sands China."

Featuring three hotel brands - the Conrad, Sheraton and the Holiday Inn â€' the overall development comprises over 9,000 hotel rooms and suites.
