HCM Group bags £14m of catering business
HCM Group, the foodservice firm formed following the merger of Host Management and Catermasters last summer, has announced a bevy of business wins worth £14m.
The caterer has secured more than £6.2m of new deals and £7.8m of retained business in recent months, including the RSPCA and the University of Law, with contracts varying in length up to five year deals. The company will provide a broad range of services from cafés and restaurants to hospitality and vending.
Commenting on the recent success for the business, HCM chief executive Bill Toner (pictured) said: "This is exciting news for us. These are good-sized deals and demonstrate that we are winning over more clients and our retention is as high as ever.
"We now have a presence in most sectors of the contract catering market, which gives us a springboard for growing our business overall; education and care homes being prime examples. We also have the scale and financial security to compete head-on with the biggest contractors. It's great news for our team too because growth means more opportunities for them as well."
Two of the newest wins were in business & industry with specialist medical equipment manufacturer Stryker in Newbury, and Arcadia Distribution in Milton Keynes and Birmingham.
Host has retained business worth over £7m in turnover with Portsmouth Grammar School and Kimbolton School, where it has catered for more than 4,000 students and staff a day since 2004.
Host has also won two contracts in the care sector, a fast expanding division for the company. The contracts with Apex Care Homes and Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) will see Host provide catering services at six locations across the South East.
