Graysons signs £3m of catering contract deals

Independent caterer Graysons has announced £3m of contract extensions with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL).

The news comes after last year's launch of the company's dedicated venue brand, Graysons Venues, which offers bespoke services for conference management, banqueting and public visitor services.

The Royal College, houses in a historic venue overlooking Regent's Park, features 27 function rooms including a historic hall, lecture theatre, committee rooms, and modern meeting facilities. The caterer led the joint rebranding and relaunch of the venue as Rooms on Regent's Park last year.

Fred Emden, executive director of resources at RCOG, commented: "Graysons' approach to our contract at RCOG is exactly right and it was an easy decision for the college to re-award the contract."

Meanwhile, Graysons will continue to oversee the food and beverage at the Royal Over-Seas League, a private members club in St James's. Services include operating the two main restaurants, bar, and garden restaurant as well as room service to the 83 hotel rooms whilst externally marketing the function rooms to private clients.

The contract extension comes on the back of a joint redevelopment and refurbishment project where Graysons and ROSL have re-launched the brasserie, the Brabourne Room, and the Duke of York Bar. ROSL is currently completing work on a new first floor sun terrace addition to the bar and the redevelopment of the garden ahead of the summer season.

Tim O'Neill, Graysons managing director, said: "These are both mature relationships built on trust and mutual benefit and where the priority is for fabulous service and fresh innovative food. This has also been the perfect way to have launched our Graysons Venues brand in London."

Other recent contract wins for Graysons in the past 12 months for Graysons include new business with Bosch Siemens Home Appliances and retentions with long-term clients shopping channel broadcaster and retailer QVC and mobile phone producer Vertu.

The caterer has also recently been appointed catering partner at Chelmsford City Racecourse to operate the restaurants and bars, and also opened its second high-street restaurant under their Fulton's brand.
