Alliance in Partnership signs three year £1.4m Cressex School deal

Education caterers Alliance in Partnership (AiP) has agreed a £1.4m, three-year deal to provide catering for Cressex Community School in High Wycombe, and four feeder primary schools in the area.

AiP has worked with Cressex School since 2011, with the contract also having been extended for a year in 2014.

This most recent deal will act as a continuation and development of the existing model, and see the company provide more than 650 meals daily over the next three years, including for Cressex's 570 secondary school pupils.

All meals, which will mainly focus on hot lunches, will be prepared on-site, with the primary schools in the surrounding villages receiving their meals by daily delivery.

Business development director at AiP, Sally Tyson, said the new deal was a continuation of the previous agreement, which had tasked the company with preparing hot meals both for Cressex, and for primary schools that do not have the level of kitchen facilities needed to do so.

She said: "We have worked closely with Cressex Community School to achieve this [model] and we are delighted to have secured this high value contract."

AiP has enacted this main-hub/satellite system before, such as in 2011, when it provided meals to St. Joseph's Catholic Infant School in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, from a hub kitchen at nearby Mandeville High School.

Its other current contracts include the Earl Mortimer College in Herefordshire, Lawrence Sheriff School in Warwickshire, Queens Park Community School in London, and the Coppice Primary in Birmingham.
