More details revealed on new Botanist in Broadgate Circle

More information has been revealed about the new Botanist restaurant set to open this month in London Liverpool Street's £20m Broadgate Circle.

First announced in November last year, the site is owned by the ETM Group. It will be the company's 15th venue, and the second Botanist after its sister restaurant in Sloane Square.

It will be 7,986 sq ft, include 158-covers, and be split over two levels, including a ground floor bar and restaurant.

Open seven days a week from morning until late, its menu will run from brunch to lunch, to "light bites", and dinner, from an average of £35-50 for a three-course meal plus wine, per person. Signature dishes are to feature shellfish platters, tuna tartare, Iberico pork shoulder with pickled nectarines and nasturtium, confit duck burger with blue cheese, and a selection of prime cut steaks.

Drinks will include a list of international wines, a selection of lager, cider and spirits, plus a wide cocktail selection along the same lines as that of the Sloane Square menu.

There will also be a raised dining area, and al fresco terrace, on the ground floor, with seating ranging from leather banquettes to leather armchairs and reclaimed café-style chairs, and a 150-capacity subterranean "Soda Room" bar open until 2am Wednesday to Saturday. This will have pre-bookable booths, a dancefloor, and live DJ nights.

Tom Martin, co-founder of ETM Group, said: "The Botanist on Sloane Square is one of our busiest London venues and the brand is ideally suited to the clientele of Broadgate and the City in general. We are delighted to be bringing this highly successful format to such a prominent City location."

The London-based ETM Group, founded by Tom and Ed Martin, also runs the Gun in Docklands; the Jugged Hare in Moorgate; the White Swan on Fetter Lane; One Canada Square in Canary Wharf; and the recently-launched Ealing Park Tavern. Its first site outside London is the Six Bells in Suffolk (near Lavenham), which is also set to open in April.

Broadgate has already signed with cafes and restaurants such as Gaucho Grill, Arancini Brothers, Rocket, the Liberty of Norton Folgate and Gatti's, in addition to pubs and bars including Corney & Barrow, the Fleetwood, Jamie's Wine Bar and the White Horse.
