Winner of Channel 4's Four in a Bed episode to sell hotel
Owners of the 15-bedroom Cley hotel in Spalding, South Lincolnshire, and winners of the Channel 4 TV series Four in a Bed, have put the property on the market for £695,000.
David Stanbridge and Andrew Robb triumphed in a recent episode of the reality game show in which four bed and breakfast owners compete to provide the best value for money establishment by taking it in turns to stay at one another's property and pay what they deem to be a fair price.
Situated on the high street overlooking the River Welland, the Grade-II-listed Georgian property is being marketed by Colliers International and generates a turnover of in excess of £328k per annum, according to the real estate advisor.
At present, the hotel's two restaurants provide a total of 40 to 45 covers, although the property has planning permission to create a dedicated 100-cover restaurant. There is further potential for redevelopment of the loft space and the current owners' accommodation into additional letting bedrooms.
The hotel also boasts two bars and is regularly used as a venue for weddings and private functions which can take place in the walled garden.
Jonathan Wren, director, hotels, Colliers International, said: "The prospect of building on the hotel's existing profile as an events venue presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced or budding hotelier to acquire this successful lifestyle business with tremendous potential for future growth."
