Harrow at Little Bedwyn appoints its first sommelier

The Harrow at Little Bedwyn, renowned for its wine list, has appointed a sommelier for the first time in its 16-year history.

Owners Roger and Sue Jones have appointed Marcin Oziebly as sommelier and general manager, to take over the day-to-day running of their Michelin-starred restaurant.

Oziebly moves from Launceston Place, where he was head sommelier. He has also worked as food and beverage manager at the Victorian Chop House company and assistant head sommelier at the Northcote group.

Roger Jones (pictured), who has a regular wine column in The Caterer, said: "Over the years Sue and I have amassed a lovely cellar of wines many of which have aged gracefully, rate verticals of Clos St Hume, Vina Tondonia, Vintage Krug, and I am looking forward to seeing Marcin get his hands on these wines and share them with our customers.

"It will also give me more time to concentrate on cooking and developing my food and wine matching with regional bodies."

Sue Jones added: "We are delighted to welcome Marcin to the Harrow to share our passion for wine and even further improve our commitment to offering one of the best selections of aged New World wines in the UK."
