The Lucky Pig to open a new restaurant bar in Fulham
The 1920s-inspired restaurant and bar group the Lucky Pig is to open a new site in London's Fulham this mid-May.
The Lucky Pig's other site is a cocktail bar, restaurant, and music venue on London's Clipstone Street in Fitzrovia, which was opened in 2011 by Keith Tucker and Jeremy Hall.
Head chef at the North End Road Fulham site will be Michael Mannion, who has previously worked at Claridge's, Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons, and Chez Nico, as well as with Marco Pierre White. He also won two AA rosettes for the Lighthouse restaurant in Wimbledon.
Open from 8am on weekdays and 11am on weekends, the new 60-cover venue (with capacity for 100 in the bar), will serve breakfast, brunch and lunch, as well as fine-dining in the evenings, alongside live jazz, blues, rag time and honky tonk music.
Typical dishes will include pressed ox cheek and bone marrow with soused baby beetroot, endive and Norbury blue, or a dozen quail's eggs, celery leaves, summer truffle and flaked salt.
The restaurant will also offer its own home coffee blend alongside an extensive array of cocktails made with home-infused spirits. The selection will include the Noodle Juice (tea-infused Tanqueray gin, white vermouth and citrus) and Flappers Favourite (yellow Chartreuse, raspberry, honey and fizz).
The group's chosen drink, Vino Vispo Bianco Frizzante, will be on tap, and there will also be a wine, Prosecco, craft beer and Champagne list.
The interior will feature antique mirrors, cut-glass decanter lights, black and white marble floors, exposed brickwork and green velvet sofas. The light entrance area has been designed for daytime, while the dining area towards the back has wooden panelling with night time events in mind.
