Top chefs support British business at Milan Expo Food and Drink week

Food and Drink companies from the UK that are seeking to grow their businesses globally are being supported by top chefs Ken Hom and Tom Aikens for ‘Food and Drink' week at the UK Pavilion at Milan Expo 2015 this week.

The chefs will visit UK House at Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, Milan where the UK companies taking part will have the chance to meet international buyers.

‘Food and Drink Week' is one of a series of special weeks in Milan and part of a wider ‘Grown in Britain' global business programme which will run for the six-month duration of Milan Expo.

"The Expo provides an excellent opportunity for businesses around the globe to raise their profile and meet new networks," said Aikens.

"The UK food and drink sector is highly innovative, creating around 16,000 new products every year. And it is this British energy and real creativity in business that I admire and encourage."

Aikens has curated the Pavilion's menu for the month of May and other leading British chefs will be curating menus for the remainder of the Expo.

From now until October a range of events at the UK Pavilion in Milan will demonstrate the UK's capabilities in areas including food and drink and sustainability with the aim of delivering up to £1b in economic benefit to the UK economy by helping British companies to win new business and promote the UK as the global inward investment destination of choice.
