Weed-inspired pop-up Cannabistro headed to London

A weed-inspired restaurant called Cannabistro is set to pop-up in London next month.

The brainchild of Grub Club and chefs at Grub London, the two-night marijuana-themed restaurant will run from 26 June.

Diners will be treated to a four-course meal inspired by "hazy memories of teenage years combined with the clichés of getting high - ‘The Way Up' - and coming down - ‘The Munchies'," reported http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/foodanddrinknews/11632836/London-is-getting-a-cannabis-inspired-restaurant.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">The Telegraph.

The so-called ‘coming up' will be represented in the first two courses, based around the different techniques and ways of getting high. Dishes includes: oxtail ravioli, homegrown herb, hemp and beef bone broth and hemp-cured mackerel, samphire, beetroot and horseradish.

The second half of the menu represents ‘the munchies', the term for the hunger, often for junk food, that can affect people after they have smoked cannabis. Cannabistro will serve a kebab and a Snickers bar.

Would-be diners are asked to register their interest on the Cannabistro website, due to high demand.
