Russian restaurant entrepreneur to open Crab Tavern in London

A Russian restaurant and nightclub entrepreneur is to open his first restaurant in London in July - the crustacean-themed Crab Tavern.

Igor Krayushkin owns two luxury restaurants and a nightclub in Russia, as well as La Residence restaurant in Dubai.

His new 150-cover London venue will be in London's Broadgate Circle. Open all day, it will merge New York-style dining with a selection of classic dishes.

Typical dishes will include sweet and savoury king crab brioche doughnuts; crab mash and west coast "bucket boil" (a mix of crab claws, mussels, lobster, ratte potatoes, Merguez sausage and sweetcorn; Hawaiian fishcakes; and pecan, chilli and maple tart with lime tequila sorbet.

Krayushkin said: "I'm delighted to be opening Crab Tavern, which will bring some Stateside favourites to one of the culinary capitals of the world. Although just one element of the menu, crab is the American crustacean of choice and the underdog that has long been overlooked.
