Ramen group Ippudo to open second London site

Ramen group Ippudo is to open a new site, in London's Canary Wharf, on 10 July.

There will also be a wide selection of cocktails, and drinks including sake by both the bottle and the glass, with varieties such as Otokoyama Junmai and Azure Ginjo.
The interior design comes from Mya Planning, and Stiff + Trevillion, and includes ramen bowls and spoons as wall decorations, alongside an open kitchen allowing the public to see the chefs at work.

The opening comes after the company launched its flagship London site - its first in Europe â€' in Central St Giles in October last year.

Founded in 1985 as an independent ramen restaurant in 1985 in Fukuoka, Japan, by Shigemi Kawahara, Ippudo now operates over 120 restaurants across 13 different countries.
