The Peacock hotel in Rowsley appoints Chris Tomlinson as GM
Chris Tomlinson has been appointed as the general manager of the three-red-AA-star Peacock hotel in Rowsley, Derbyshire.
Tomlinson, formerly operations manager of Hand Picked Hotels' four-AA-star Priest House in Castle Donington, and the four-red-AA-star Bella Luce hotel, restaurant & spa in Guernsey, joined the Peacock hotel this week.
He will be leading an established team and plans to take the Peacock forward by setting new standards of luxury and service.
The 15-bedroom hotel, which is owned by Lord Edward Manners of Haddon Hall, also holds three AA rosettes with head chef Dan Smith.
Fishing is a key part of the hotel's success as the property has its own fishing rights on seven miles of the rivers Wye and Derwent.
Tomlinson said: "I am excited to lead a team of talented individuals who all have the pleasure of working in a beautiful character property. The 15th century Peacock hotel is unrivalled in the area for the exceptional standards of hospitality and service and I am ready to push the boundaries and take this iconic hotel to the next level."
