Portfolio of four Jurys Inn hotels sold for £80m
The freehold of four regional mid-market Jurys Inn hotels has been sold by building contractor and developer MacAleer & Rushe, for a total of £80m.
Located in Exeter, Liverpool (pictured), Derby and Nottingham, all four hotels will continue to be operated under a long-lease agreement by Jurys Inn, which now comes under the umbrella of the newly launched group, Amaris Hospitality, owned by private equity company Lone Star.
Rob Millar, director at Steerforth, who advised McAleer & Rushe on the sales, said: "The company decided to take advantage of the strong regional hotel market in order to release capital for future development and investment activities."
The four hotels were part of a portfolio of 31 Jury Inn hotels sold for £680m to Lone Star in January 2015. They now form part of a collection of branded hotels - alongside Hilton Worldwide, Mecure, MGallery and Hotel Collection properties - that go to make up Amaris Hospitality.
