Bruno Loubet to open Grain Store in Gatwick Airport
Chef Bruno Loubet and the Zetter Group are to open an offshoot of their King's Cross restaurant Grain Store in London Gatwick airport.
Grain Store Cafe & Bar at London Gatwick will feature a completely new, family friendly all-day menu, specially created for airport travellers. It is set to open this autumn in Gatwick's South Terminal.
The menu will feature fresh and organic vegetables, and fish and meat sourced from local British producers. As with Grain Store in King's Cross, here too vegetables will be the star of the show, with a menu based on the principles of seasonality and sustainability.
The new restaurant will have a ‘wholesome' breakfast menu created by Loubet specifically for Grain Store Café & Bar at Gatwick Airport. It also features a bar with innovative cocktails, a wine list and non-alcoholic drinks and smoothies.
Grain Store Café & Bar will focus on speed of service, in line with Gatwick Airport's promise to serve meals within 15 minutes.
The space has been designed by the renowned Russell Sage Studio, which is behind some of London's most iconic restaurants including the Savoy Grill, Quaglino's, and the original Grain Store in King's Cross.
The restaurant will be operated by ARE. ARE is a family-owned business with over 40 years' experience operating food and drink outlets in airports throughout Australia. It was one of the first operators to bring premium dining to Australian airports through partnerships with some of the country's best-known chefs.

The news comes as it emerged that Loubet's pop-up, Grain Store Unleashed, which replaced Bistrot Bruno Loubet in the Zetter hotel in London, would close at the end of this month. A new concept for the restaurant space has yet to be announced.
Loubet launched Grain Store in London's King's Cross in 2013 to critical acclaim. The restaurant won the Menu of the Year award at the 2014 Cateys.
