Come Fry With Me restaurant to open in Covent Garden
The humble chip is to be elevated to centre stage when it becomes the focus of a new restaurant set to open in London's Covent Garden in the autumn.
Come Fry With Me, which will be launched by 24-year-old Tiffany Plant, will feature the likes of truffle and Parmesan potato fries cooked in duck fat, alongside parsnip, carrot and courgette fries.
The restaurant will have an airline theme reflecting the 1960s, with the fries arriving via a conveyor belt.
The triple-cooked fries at Come Fry With Me will be available in skinny, gastro or skin-on versions, either flavoured, topped or in a butty. They will include rosemary and garlic rustic skin-on fries and naked gastro fried coated in Guinness batter. Topped fries will include steak and Stilton, chilli con carne with sour cream, Greek (with feta, oregano and lemon), and cinnamon sweet potato.
Come Fry With Me will be launched at food festivals across the UK during the summer, including the Clapham Foodie Festival in south London from 24 to 26 June.
