Fullers looks forward to Rugby World Cup after slight sales rise

Pub group Fullers has reported a rise in sales of 5.7% in its managed pubs and hotels in an update in advance of today's annual general meeting.

It added that profits for the 16 weeks from 29 March to 18 July 2015 in its tenanted division were also up 4%. Total beer and cider volumes in the period remained static.

Since April, Fullers has bought the King's Head in Earl's Court, London, and opened the Stable in Plymouth and in Winchester. It has also relocated the Stable in Bath. The freeholds of the Blackbird in Earls Court and the Stable in Poole have also been purchased.
