Liam Warwick appointed as restaurant manager at Middlethorpe Hall in York
The four-red-AA-star, 29-bedroom Middlethorpe Hall & Spa in York has promoted Liam Warwick to manager of the hotel's two-AA-rosette restaurant.
Warwick joined Middlethorpe Hall for a two-week work experience placement when he was a student. He then went on to York College to study catering, remaining employed as a casual waiter at the hotel.
After graduating from Warwick he was offered the full time position of commis waiter before he was promoted to chef de rang, head waiter and then assistant restaurant manager.
Warwick is a keen cyclist and after serving breakfast to the organising committee of the Tour de France in 2014, he was inspired to cycle the entire Yorkshire route.
Middlethorpe Hall is a 17th-century country house situated in 20 acres of gardens and parkland just outside York.
