Merangz changes name to Flower & White

Shropshire-based confectioners Merangz has changed its name to Flower & White.

Flower & White is a nod to the ingredients the company uses and a reference to how it has "blossomed like a flower", according to founder Leanne Crowther.

Merangz was launched by husband and wife team Brian and Leanne Crowther. It sells a range of meringues in different flavours and sizes, and has won a Great Taste gold star and Best Food Product at Caffè Culture 2015 for its Merangz Bites.

Leanne Crowther said: "The new name tells our story and encompasses everything we do. The company really has blossomed like a flower, and also the ingredients we use are all white: egg whites, flour, sugar, icing and cream. It just seemed the natural choice. This is a new chapter in our journey and we are really excited about the future of Flower & White."
