Louis Louis Pizza Deli & Emporium to open in Nottingham
The Louis Louis Pizza Deli & Emporium, a new pizza and sandwich delicatessen, is to open in Nottingham in September.
It will be located within the Das Kino bar and restaurant on the city's Fletcher Gate street, and serve pizzas, sandwiches and sides. Typical toppings will be along the lines of the Swine and Pine pizza, with sweet chilli glazed pineapple, shredded ham hock and jalapenos, or the Summer Garden with garlic butter, spinach, watercress, macerated fennel, radish, tomato and Parmesan.
Sides will include Bratwurst baked beans, chicken strips with honey mustard and spring onion, and warm giant pretzels with hummus, balsamic vinegar and oil. There will also be deli-style sandwiches, homemade cakes, and a Sunday brunch service.
Louis Gray (pictured), head chef of the delicatessen, called the opening "turning the dream of starting up on his own into a reality" after years of spending time in the kitchen, and being inspired by his "food-obsessed family".
He said: "I've been cooking professionally for four years now, and to get the chance to go it alone is something I'm very much looking forward to, especially in my home city. It has been my goal since I was just a kid."
