Drury moves to the Royal Arsenal Riverside development

After 16 years in Bermondsey, south London, the Drury Tea & Coffee Company has relocated to new premises in Woolwich, also in south London, in a multi-million pound investment.

The move coincides with the purchase of a new roaster, which will almost quadruple the company's present coffee capacity.

Alongside the premises move, Drury has also announced that it has signed up to the London Living Wage, which will see all employees paid a least £9.15 per hour

Drury remains a family business, now run by the third generation of the Olmi family. Their modern new roastery and head office is situated at the developing Royal Arsenal Riverside development in Woolwich. The new facility incorporates a more user-friendly training centre, an advanced barista training room and a dedicated sales showroom together with an enlarged and improved engineering workshop.

The new Brambati roaster can roast up to 2,000 tonnes of coffee per year and with another 30kg roaster on order, growth will continue in small batch speciality and single origin coffees.

Director Marco Olmi said: "We already feel quite at home in our modern new premises and are delighted to have the space and facilities to grow the business. It means we are able to expand in all departments, particularly, of course, production. It has given also given us the opportunity to invest in our magnificent state-of-the-art new roaster.
